LOL Absolute Greek to me. I'm just a humble user who loves the old SB
products and the RPI stuff.
The OSMC RF remote seems to work out well for the HiFiBerry software and
Kodi.

The one with the screen is probably controlling Jivelite - which handles
such input directly.
Squeezelite is a different beast so using TriggerHappy to detect the
input and having it send directly to LMS which in turn controls the
player is a way to do it.

Thanks Paul. I'll try the keyboard idea, but the remote I have is HID.
As I mentioned, it does work, to an extent, on my pi with the screen
attached. That's pretty much the only difference between the one in my
car. Well that and the one in my car runs LMS. The remote works on the
one with the

If you want to try the TriggerHappy route then something you could do
first would be to connect a USB keyboard and try to get it working with
that.
That would show that
I just bought PowerAmp for my Android phone and use Bluetooth from the
phone to the car for my music. The interface is somewhat like the
Material skin in LMS. My phone has a large Micro SD card that holds my
whole library. If I have an incoming call the music is automatically
paused and then
P.S. I'm not using a USB DAC and I haven't found any support for the
Allo Boss DAC I am using.

Paul,
Triggerhappy the camera remote? I looked at the link. So much of this is
beyond me, but I will reread it and see if any of it makes sense.
Thanks,

Thanks. It would need to be something besides IR remote or a phone app.

I'm using a RPI3 running piCoreplayer and LMS. All the latest software
versions. The OSMC with dongle doesn't control it at all, however it
does control the one I have downstairs with the 7" touch screen to a
certain degree. I just don't know enough about anything to figure out
why or how to get
A radio remote with USB dongle that emulates a keyboard should be
possible as well ... but it would be driving Squeezelite or Jive ...
which in turn would talk to LMS.
For example ... I have a B USB speaker that came with its own wireless
remote ... and it works to control Jive on a Joggler.
What is the player in the car? If its a Pi there are plenty of options

Thanks Paul. I'm still trying to find something to control the server in
my car. IR won't work and the Duet doesn't stay charged long enough, so
I would love to use wireless OSMC remote like they are using in the HiFi
Berry software.
Someday...

Any SB remote .. or old JVC DVD remote (or an emulation).
Wireless:
Probably only Duet Controller knows how to do it

I can control LMS with the Duet remote. Is it possible to control LMS
with other wireless radio remotes?
