LOL Absolute Greek to me. I'm just a humble user who loves the old SB products and the RPI stuff. The OSMC RF remote seems to work out well for the HiFiBerry software and Kodi. Bests, Howard philchillbill wrote: > This sounds like a nice project for an ESP 32 to send JSON api commands >

The one with the screen is probably controlling Jivelite - which handles such input directly. Squeezelite is a different beast so using TriggerHappy to detect the input and having it send directly to LMS which in turn controls the player is a way to do it. Paul Webster

Thanks Paul. I'll try the keyboard idea, but the remote I have is HID. As I mentioned, it does work, to an extent, on my pi with the screen attached. That's pretty much the only difference between the one in my car. Well that and the one in my car runs LMS. The remote works on the one with the

A radio remote with USB dongle that emulates a keyboard should be possible as well ... but it would be driving Squeezelite or Jive ... which in turn would talk to LMS. For example ... I have a B USB speaker that came with its own wireless remote ... and it works to control Jive on a Joggler.
