In my Ubuntu-server the playlists are stored in the prefs folder,
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs. The

make sure there is a playlist for that player in your cache folder.

what exactly did you do and where is lms stopping after two tracks?
scanning your library?
playing from your library?
playing streams from somewhere?

songinfo (had not yet registered to lastfm).
