Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS troubled by files outside of scan folder

2016-09-15 Thread Flarne

Noticed that I had a pre-installed Picture gallery plugin with the
default path /share/HDA_DATA/ set. That would very much cover my photo
folders. Still concerned though. I haven't scanned images what I'm aware
of and if so final library would sum up considerably more files than
expected. Briefly following the details line during scan I can't see
that it goes through more than my music files in the accurate scan
folder...

I wrote the The path & folder right on top of the settings

That file should be called in your startup/service script.

If you use the one thats deliveres with lms you might notice that part:

Code:

## if you want to add additional options
  ## use /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver --help
  ## for the supported options and place them
  ## into the configfile */etc/default/logitechmediaserver
  *

  # Read config file if it is present.
  if [ -r /etc/default/$NEWNAME ]; then
  . /etc/default/$NEWNAME
  elif [ -r /etc/default/$NAME ]; then
  . /etc/default/$NAME
  fi

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but is that a specific file I can get
into?

Whats in front of these errors?
You could (imho ahould) change the startup settingsfile:

Code:

/etc/default/logitechmediaserver
  SLIMOPTIONS="--noimage --novideo"

and do restart the lms

2016-09-14 Thread Flarne

I should also point out that I removed the SSOTS package from my NAS and
reinstalled it to have some kind of clean installation with no old stuff
messing things up. But there might be traces from a former scan, db,
cache or whatever stuck in some corners of the Qnap that I don't know
of...

Yes, my first thought was that there must be some kind of peculiar
connection to these images somewhere in my music folder. But hardly. The
pics in the server log are random photos. No album art or anything music
related. But image scanning can of course be the issue. I saw now that
that was not even an option in earlier versions (right?). But still, the
files aren't within the scanning path...

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS troubled by files outside of scan folder

2016-09-14 Thread Flarne

Upgraded my LMS from 7.7.2 to 7.9 the other week. Since installation the
server crashes every day. Everytime after image scaling complaints in
the server log looking like this:

2069: *** glibc detected *** /opt/ssods4/bin/perl: free(): invalid next

I can see why LMS is having trouble handling these pics since they're
quite huge. What's bothering me though is that they aren't in my scan
folder! I haven't scanned anything else but my music folder at
/share/Multimedia/Music. QNAP path that is. Maybe it's NAS related but
maybe some LMS savvy guy in general has a clue.

How does LMS pick up those paths?
