Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 7.9.2 released
I released Logitech Media Server v7.9.3 to address many minor (and not so...) issues which cropped up since the release of 7.9.2 earlier this year. No new features. At the same time I decided to pull v7.7.x as the "official" release. As no official support can be expected anyway, there's no reason to have that old thing still around. More details are available here: http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Logitech/slimserver/7.9.3/Changelog7.html I've created a 7.9.4 branch, which might see the random bug fix and nightly builds. Don't expect much activity there. Enjoy the music! Michael "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!" Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 7.9.2 released
Just curious: is there any reason for keeping LMS 7.7.6 as the official download on mysqueezebox.com? Why not replace it with 7.9.2? When Logitech announced the end of Squeezebox it was decided that no more development would be done beyond 7.7, plus important fixes. 7.8+ was defined as the community supported releases. Therefore mysqueezebox.com still only provides what is officially supported. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

My mistake (that’s why I deleted this message, sorry you had seen it) I was looking in the Darwin directory and not the Darwin 64 Right, that's what I assumed: there seems to be an issue with macOS in a VM where the architecture wouldn't be reported correctly. This would result in the symptoms you were seeing (wrong binaries chosen). Two questions on the above. 1) Is it possible to exclude a genre from Don't Stop the Music? I have 5.1 music on my server and use ffmpeg to convert it to 2.0 for players not supporting DTS/AC3. The script always works when called directly but when going from 2.0 to 5.1 music... sometimes it just outputs static. Furthermore, I have all the corresponding albums in 2.0, so there's no real point in using 5.1 stuff, unless I specifically select it. All the 5.1 content has genre "5.1" if that could help (and it comes all from the same directory). 2) I have an album in opus, files are *.opus. Scanner is not picking them up. Is there something specific I need to do? I'll activate debug for the scanner and report back for this, but maybe I'm overlooking something. Thanks for keeping the flame lit. Endorse! I am grateful that in the Release Notes for 7.9.2... Michael calls out contributions from a number of other people. Several years ago over 95% of the commits shown were from Michael alone. Glad to see more people with the skills to contribute doing so. I know it's a labor of love for many and I greately appreciate it. Best regards! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 7.9.2 released
BTW, aren't the stable versions supposed to not have a timecode in their name? I have "Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 - 1578996832 @ Tue Jan 14 12:16:57 CET 2020" in my settings/information They don't have it in the filename, but in the revision information.
