I have blocked this site that is causing the proxy abuse message.
When I try to browse this site - www.verschk.com - nothing comes up.
Arin shows it somewhere in Canada. Fellow colleague thinks it is a
spyware site.
What kind of a URL could cause Squid to die like

I have been having a bit of a problem with accessing pages quickly.
a request for a web site fails the first time it is pulled. the second time
it comes in right away. This is consistent everywhere on my network except

have around 3000 users that connect to Squid in order to use the internet.
I am using the squid_ldap_auth module and it works great but for some
reason the squid child processes seem to fail and the Squid

Yes I can ping it normally, I'm even SSHing to it.
Check ip stuff, netmask on both client and squid box.
If security measures in place inhibit these kind of tests , then
lower them on a temp. basis, to exclude and verify any basic
problems of this nature.

you send me,at the very beginning.

Ok guys, I just checked one of our ISA Servers and found that it is using an
upstreaming server in order to serve clients, thankfully can you lead me
where should I configure that in squid?. The ISA Server is being used by all
