I almost emailed the list about this because I (foolishly) missed
it in the archives.
Hi!
I have a small "problem" with SM... When I press "Next & Delete" the
current message will be transfered to the Trash and I will get the next
message.
But the message witch is transfered to the Trash is not marked as read. Is
that possible to fix?

Do the plugins on the website, which appear to be for the 1.2.x
line, function correctly with the 1.4.0 prerelease?
Also, any news on an RPM? (I haven't gotten any responses to my
RPM question a couple of days ago.)
Thanks,

In other words, SquirrelMail doesn't care who you are as long as your IMAP
server can authenticate the user and password.

I know this may not be related to SM, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have installed Redhat 7.3 and used the qvcs-guide to install Qmail, Vmail Manager, Courier-imap and SM 1.2.10. I'm running into a strange problem where when I send e-m

You might want to take the entries out of hosts.allow and hosts.deny and
make sure the xinetd config works okay. I'm not sure, but you may have to
restart xinetd after you make the change.

Who is your POP provider? Are the servers heavily loaded?
We got these kind of errors frequently when we had Interland as
our POP email provider.
In short: Maybe it's just an overloaded/failing POP server?

Hi,
I found 1 bug and 2 'ugly things' in mail_fetch plugin version
1.3.0.
The bug is found when you set the plugin to check new messages at
the logon and your IMAP mailbox is overquota. It stores the UIDL of the
last message, not the message previous to the overquota. So it does no

Speaking of POP3 fetch, I'm finding that most of the time, I'm getting

running SM 1.2.8 (latest Red Hat Network distribution). This happens with
both POP servers SM is trying to get mail from.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. That worked after doing it twice. Before I

IMHO, this would be better done out of SquirrelMail at the time mail
arrives, using Procmail. There may even be a way to do it using your MTA,
I don't know for sure. It'd be nice, that

This is probably something that you are going to want to handle on the
server side. Most likely using a global procmail filter. If you are
using exim you can use exims
Thanks John,
After I upgrade to 1.2.10, the "Warning:Cannot bla bla bla..." error was
gone.
Then I change the $domain='getenv(SERVER_NAME)' in (config.php) to
$domain='mydomain.name.com'.
It eliminated the "Invalid Domain name" error.
I am still curious of why the errors suddenly appeared, but
I have another app that a user logs into using the same username and

First of all, I hope you've grabbed the version I released last week
from the SM website - it has some fixes that might be more recent than
what you have.
Second, please give more information about the error you get when you
are unable to log in. Since SM is web-based, the l
