I agree wholeheartedly with your first point.
However, I think that the second point might be a bad
thing. The reason I say this is because people
validate Struts based off of who's running/using it.

I get this error if I use Ant version 1.3. If I use Ant 1.4 I don't get
this error and the compile works.
Run "ant -version"
For me things work for version:
"Ant version 1.4.1 compiled on October 11 2001"
and they don't work for the version of Ant I have that's
