I've just had an article on Struts posted at developer.com. I specifically
targetted the article to very new users and those needing articles or
information to give to managers.
My hope is that new users can get a basic understanding of Struts by
reading it. In addition, I specifically tried
James Turner and I have collaborated on a Management Powerpoint
presentation that can be used to make the case for using Struts for
development.
If others have comments/additions/etc of course we are flexible.
The presentation will be available on our site later this evening or

You may or may not have good luck cutting down the number of form beans.
Sometimes it's appropriate for one form bean to serve multiple pages,

In general I agree with much of this sentiment. But not all of it.
I've been using WebLogic for a while and have yet to run into a situation
where EJB's didn't perform fast enough. We have a bunch of apps full of
entity beans that all work fine. And I've had to build some complex

If I manually change my listen port to some thing else (51315) in the
config.xml, then server boots properly.
So the problem is fixed. This new server cannot be on the same port as the
old one.

1.02 projects just fine! Statistically 80% of projects fail due to
