I don't know how tied you are to staying where you're based, but in
jobserve, I put in struts and it came back with 49 hits, mostly GB though.

OJB, Lucene and Velocity The last chapter features Lucene... not a lot
of coverage, but the book is a case-study type style. Written by
Carnell, Linwood, Zawadski.

It wasn't with Struts. But, Patagonia.com uses it for product searches. I
worked on that. It was great!
