AFAIK the only javascript struts outputs is for the validator - and thats an
optional 'cosmetic' feature that can be switched off without effecting
(affecting/afecting/efecting arrrgh! Ive lost my ability to spell!)

There are several products available that want to make it easier for
developers to develop more sophisticated front-end clients to back-end J2EE
type systems that aren't limited to the html controls that you're limited to
with the browser, the ultimate consumer of the struts output. I
I use applets to deliver Flash to the client. It melts the hard drive and
blows the monitor.
