Hi!
First - thanks for a great project!
I noticed a small typo in the Swedish translation file
(translations/subsurface_sv_SE.ts):

Should be (on t too many):

Hi!
First, thanks all for you effort and the great and useful application!
I'm connecting my dive computer to my Linux laptop, and that works perfect.
But, wouldn't it be possible to do that on the SubSurface Mobile (Android)
app too?
I have a "watertight" Sony phone, and I use a USB On-The-Go (

Hi!
Tested yesterday with several different phones and tablets (all Sony), but
none of them worked. Some models doesn't enable OTG without restarting the
phone with the cable inserted (to avoid powerleakage with nothing
connected), but all phone "detects" the DC (at least the cable led turns

Hi again,
Found the log files 😉

What I would wish for, is that using a DC with OTG cable on the mobile
version should work again. Apparently this worked before 4.7.5, and seems
to be related to opening a FTDI port on Android (bug #1240).

Ok, fair enough...
Vacation is coming up, and I could at least try to give it a go. I should
be able to debug etc, but first try to understand the code.
Cheers,

Yes, thanks, problem is gone from the latest app version 😊

Hi,
What several people have mentioned and tested, is that version 4.7.4.280 in
the Android app seems to work with USB OTG, but any version after that
fails. I'm running Oreo 8.0, and I have other apps that work with my DC
using OTG, so Oreo and the HW supports it.
Best regards,
Thomas

Hi!
Sorry to say, but I still fail to download, the log looks just as it has
done for the last weeks.
I have tried on Android 6, 8 and 9, with both phone and tablet (all Sony
Xperia).
I also tested on a Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android 7, but exactly the same
result (and same here, if BT is on, FTDI
download from the Puck (so the phone, cable, and Android version I have
works with OTG and Mares, but not Subsurface on the same phone/tablet ...).
Best regards,
Thomas

But, I guess Dirk is right, there is still some confusion about using OTG
cable, Bluetooth Link, FTDI etc, so there are still some hurdles to pass ...
