I tried F11 for XO1.0 and there is no problem when connecting to a 32
characters SSID and opening the web browser.
Everything works fine with F11.

sounds like a libertas driver bug that was fixed inbetween 2.6.25 and
2.6.30.
They also asked me to do the same that you suggested: trying with F11 for XO
1.0.
I will try that and let you know the results.
