I have several CAD and drawing programs that can all create vary degrees of DXF
files, some better than others. Let me know what formats you can produce it
in, I'll let you which I can accept. Also check with the vendor and see if
they will accept any other format. I have real good
I believe that Adobe Illustrator version 9 for windows exports to dxf. Maybe
the latest version for Mac does the same. Check out thier website. Bill G.

A recent project for a Rotary club dial requires a
4ft dia. 'gearwheel' to be cut by 'CNC waterjet' from 1/2 stainless
steel and for this I need a DXF version of the file to guide the machine.
The original design file is in Mac Illustrator 8.0.
Many, many thanks to everyone who rallied to my distress call about
exporting DXF from Adobe Illustrator, the salient conclusion being that
if I upgrade from version 8.0 to version 9.0 it will do the trick.
To be certain that this was the case for both PC and Mac versions on 9.0
