Thanks for the information about the dial
at Fredericton. I have checked Mrs Gatty's book and there
is a dial recorded by her daughter Juliana but this is
a horizontal dial. It seems that only the dial plate was surviving at that
time.

+ Longitude Correction Table you mentioned a sundial at the Fredericton Soldiers
Barracks. This immediately started bells ringing in my brain because this
is the place where Alexander Ewing and his wife Juliana were stationed in
1867
