I checked the link and found it quite useful but the use is not intuitive but
subtle. A casual observer like me has no idea how to use the page
some Maya
supposed, and this is a great year, it is better than 2012 :-) (like
the same Maya didn’t know) so I hope you have fun with this new

I would second Roger's comments regarding the usability to a casual user.
Like Roger I had to do a bit of hunting - trial and error, but once I found the
way to enter location data, it worked very well. I share his concern that most
wouldn't stick with it to figure
4. zoom in as needed and rotate the compass (using the blue tabs
on the compass ring) to determine the declination
step 5. click on the UTC button (right hand column) and select the UTC
offset for the location
step 6. select paper sundial about half way down the right-hand column
