Hello, we have similar problems and maybe the same. I can also see the gdm user for example. Mostly we see this problem when a user tries to login via smartcard or want to go to another terminal (with the smartcard). Sometimes this problem appears for a smartcard and so the problem goes with

[SunRay-Users] VDI 3.2.2 - grid lines, etc missing?

2011-02-07 Thread Jonathan C. Bailey
Hello, We just upgraded from VDI 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 this weekend (so we now have SRWC 2.3), and have noticed that in some applications, grid lines and/or other elements are either missing, or corrupted (misaligned, etc). We're connecting to XP SP3 VMs via Windows RDP. Nothing has changed on the VM

[SunRay-Users] VDI 3.2.2 - grid lines, etc missing?

2011-02-07 Thread David L. Endicott
We are running SRWC 2.3 as well only instead of Oracle's VDI, we are using VMware view 4.5 and we have the exact same issue. We did not see the issue with the older version of the SRWC. I thought that maybe the RDP compression was causing the issue, but adding the -z parameter shows no change.

I believe there's a new param in srwc 2.3 to control 2008 acceleration. I'm not at a computer, so I'd verify by uttsc man page, but I believe adding -D to your uttsc args will disable the new acceleration. It also may be -D off or -D 0. The symptoms you're describing we also had, and solved

I just looked in our uttsc man page.. -D Disables the Video and Adobe Flash Acceleration path for Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2. So it is just a plain -D. I'd give it a try... (yes, I know, you're not even running win7 or 2008). Thanks, Devin -Original Message-

Craig, I will open a support call this week. I am working with my Windows 7 help desk to figure out if this is nothing more than a permissions problem within the Windows Group policy. The card is being detected (card reader blinks) but then stops. I never receive a prompt to enter a pin.
