I am no Java programmer but I have done quite a bit of database structuring work
and a number of small C apps and I do know that when my stuff evolves to
a point of failure I do a rollback to a functional version and then start
again to implement the new changes in smaller pieces. I guess I am
increased my data store from 10 to 12 gigs and it
is using only about 6. I re-seeded and re-exported the ref file.
Nothing works right the way it used to before about v.5087. I am
wasting too much time trying to make her run like she did way back when.

Just wondering... with all this encryption permeating Freenet
there remains a gaping hole through which the nazi's could saunter through
with their spy tools and legal bypasses to incriminate any and all Freenetters
they choose to incriminate... the ip address/port# of all. Even using a third
For the first time since I started Freenet some 10 months ago it has failed!
Build 5085 was fine. 5086... trash. Downhill. It would not find even YoYo, plus,
it would just disconnect after 4 or 5 hours. This is a first for me since I usually
run
Freenet for days without a restart.
Enter 5087.
Zenon, doing proxy stuff to let outsiders into freenet is inviting in the wolves.
Why do that?
And you'll be the first to get maimed and eaten before the rest of ALL the other
Freenetters.

This talk of blacklisting makes me want to puke.
Let's just go back to the censored internet. Man, we're getting our own little
versions of Big Brother on here.
If you don't want to look at it, don't look at it, or get off of Freenet.
I doubt that Ian would agree with all this talk of
/Windoze duels, though off the subject, are quite
entertaining. I'm rooting for the underpenguin.

Could Toad or Ian or someone out there supply us with some config file settings that
will make Freenet run optimally(on most machines) without us having to do
experiment after time-consuming experiment until we eventually(or not) discover which
settings are best. And please, just some good,
on the
fly (at least, not yet). You can get a list of the ones that can be changed by
using the --onTheFly switch.

duh, guys, I'm a newbie +- so I can only make observations so here:
(note: order does not indicate weight nor priority)
1. Get a female to work on this thing.
2. At least run permanent node.
3. DSL ain't no faster when it hits the freenet bogs.
4. The last 3 or 4+ builds have gotten slower and
