Well, on my Mac OS X 10.3.6 800Mhz iBook server with 640MB RAM, Apple's 1.4.1 JVM and 10GB Freenet store over a NAT AirPort Extreme fixed IP RCN cable connection, Freenet is OK a lot of the time.
