I can't provide you a solution on that, only say that in the past I would put
the word (msn) or (gmail) in the contact's alias to distinguish protocol.

somewhere in the purple plugin pack, which essentially put a little icon
representing the protocol at the top of the window. i might be mistaken
regarding the name, it has been a while since i used it.

affect the conversation window.

Hello, I really like pidgin, it supports lots of things and would
eliminate my need for running numerous programs. However, when I boot
onto a live (Ubuntu) cd and use Pidgin, everything works real nice...I
just installed it into my 12.04LTS, and am not noticing all the problems

2.7.3 for years cuz every upgrade breaks on my win XP and Win 7

So I tried again with version 2.10.1 and same issue... AIM and Google talk work

Hello,
Whenever I try to connect to my gmail account, I get this error message:
brittany.voel...@gmail.com/ disabled Not Authorized. Can someone please
help me with this?

What protocol are you having this problem with (AIM, MSN, GroupWise, XMPP,
etc.)?
Is this an office internal IM system?
Can you get the Help-Debug Window contents from when you attempt to add a
buddy and it fails? (Feel free to sanitize the data of anything
we use pidgin through out the office and im new at using pidgin and it
is not letting me add new buddies, IM Buddies, when i try to add buddies
it says i cant, (unable to add buddy to server list) its just not
working ive uninstalled and reinstalled, please help

Pidgin doesn't have accounts; you will need to contact the instant
messaging service with which you have the account.
