The most obvious hypothesis is that the ISP changed its policy. But
that will have to be proven by the alternate-email-client test.

The most obvious is really that their SMTP server is broken. The
thread starter is getting a timeout, not an SMTP error response that
says the message is too large.

That could be, too. But I've seen enough erroneous error messages in my
day that I don't automatically trust their diagnoses. When I run my
Access database, I sometimes get a message that the system doesn't have
enough memory or disk space to do such-and-such, when in fact it has
oodles of both and Access is choosing not to use it.

The OP has just reported this morning that his test with Outhouse
Distress failed in exactly the same way as SeaMonkey did, so the problem
isn't with the email client.

The problem could be something as obtuse as a network adapter driver
that needs an update. It may be with the originating system rather than
on the destination server.

Nowhere that I could find.

So you have two bugs for the price of one.
1. The Load this bookmark in the sidebar option is not working.
2. Once set, you cannot reset the Load this bookmark in the sidebar
option.

Is there a bug filed for this?

I get a security warning when using Candy Crush on Seamonkey that I don't
get on Firefox. I know that it is taking info from me. What should the
Preference setting be?

Hello all - just as I was trying to perform MozBackUp on my Lenovo T61
the system froze and I waited for 10 minutes or so before physically
shutting down the machine.

Upon re-boot I found that a 'new' SeaMonkey window appeared without any
settings or history or profiles available.

I wanted to panic, but no I decided to remain calm and collected as it
appeared that I lost up to 5% of my emails, 100% of my contacts, 100% of
my bookmarks, 100% of my passwords, and just about everything else
stored in SM 2.26.

I know there must be more questions and facts which are left out here,
please let me know what you need in order to assist.

Any insight and assistance is greatly appreciated in figuring out if in
fact it is all lost.

Alternatively to Rob's advice, have a look at Tools-Switch Profiles. Do
you see more profiles listed there then you would expect?? If so, select
each in turn to see if it's your missing profile!!

The time/date the directory was last updated could be considered a clue.
Backing off one step: Backups are good. Especially if they are readable.

was the bug marked resolved/fixed or is it a happy accident?
