Thanks, David, I was thinking about it and wondering if I would be going
backward. I will try going to 2.49.1.
The most recent end-user release is 2.49.1. Perhaps you should try
using it.

I checked this forum first and installed the 64-bit version 2.49.1 .deb file on Linux KDE Neon
5.12. I am also running 64-bit Thunderbird ver 52.6.0 and I found an extension for it that is
called "ThunderHTMLedit" which is not compatible with SM. I also found an extension
called "Stationary" which doesn't work with SM either. These extensions are very helpful
to get the features we need.

I want to like SM but TB has the same themes and some extensions I like. You
have recommended using other HTML editors. What is there to recommend SM over
TBird?

Ken, you might try running your ThunderHTMLedit extension through the
SeaMonkey Extension Converter at http://addonconverter.fotokraina.com/

It might make it suitable to install in SeaMonkey ... or, then again, it
might not!!

ewong isn't sure if can make upgrades working for 2.49.2. It sounds like
a trivial issue but isn't because of the servers and internal Mozilla
systems involved. So you might need to download the complete installer
again. You can install the mar update manually but I did this once and
didn't find it worth it.

+1 on teamviewer. However I highly recommend that you *not* use version
13 on your linux machine - the interface is kludgy & unfinished and,
missing many features (file transfer, messaging, etc., etc). Instead use
version 12:
https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/previous-versions/
  Linux (v12.0.90041):
  TeamViewer deb 32-Bit / 64-Bit Multiarch
http://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_12x/teamviewer_i386.deb
I recommend this version over the 'TeamViewer deb 64-Bit without
Multiarch' version as you may run into dependency issues with this one
on your system.

Note: TV version 13 works fine (with full bells & whistles) on Windows.
All versions are free for personal use.

FRG, a couple of questions

1. Some time ago, I used to use the Beta versions of SeaMonkey to do my

2.    Will these be "updates", i.e. a little bit of programming (a couple of

be a complete download (50MB or so!)??

For some reason Stylish 2.1.1 [1] doesn't appear to work with SM
2.49.2 – styles don't get applied, while all of its UI is present and
operational. Works just fine with SM 2.49.1.  Haven't observed
