Yes it does. I'm using it for years. Try getting the version from Philip

And there's now also *this* regarding the random Master Password
annoyance that's been plaguing me forever - I've updated bug
724296...which is still being ignored, it seems:

Still broken under SM 2.14, and now worse.

In addition to the above, SM now freezes when a user menu is open (like
Bookmarks) and the Master Password dialog appears without requirement -
the Master Password prompt is not brought to front and remains obscured
by the previous Dialog/Menu.

In this case the user can click off SM to clear the obscuring Dialog and
then select OK or Cancel, but has to do so without SM being in focus.

Smacks of the loss of focus bug people have complained about previously.
I may be with you - back to SM 2.13.2.

2.14 Installation Problems (was Re: 2.13 Problems.)

2012-11-21 Thread LR
In case anyone is interested.

Installing 2.14 went better than previous versions.

Almost everything seems to be intact, except I still needed to copy
over prefs.js from the previous installation to get my old email
account. The files for old email still seem to be there.

But may have blown away some other things. For example my home page
location was changed.

I think this is an improvement.

Or I did.

I ran into some problem where every SeaMonkey window would open two

hang. I'm not at all sure what caused it, but I'm back to 2.13.2 for
the moment.

2012-11-21 Thread Jens Hatlak
The SeaMonkey project is proud to present SeaMonkey 2.14: The new major

Linux.

Most notably, this release features for the first time:
* OS X 10.6 is now the minimum supported Mac version
* JavaScript Maps and Sets are now iterable
* SVG FillPaint and StrokePaint have been implemented
* The sandbox attribute has been implemented for iframes, enabling
  increased security
* Fixed several stability issues

For a more complete list of changes in SeaMonkey 2.14, see the What's
New in SeaMonkey 2.14 section of the Release Notes [2], which also
contain a list of known issues and answers to frequently asked

One feature I do like is that if I mouse over the name of a folder
containing new unread messages, I get a tooltip listing author/title for
the first half-dozen of the new messages. Doesn't seem to work with old
unread messages, but still, I like it.

Profile Problems--New Windows 7

2012-11-21 Thread Larry S.
My wife received her new computer (Windows 7). She d/l SM 2.14 then, to
recover her profile from her older computer, we copied the saved copy
from her thumb drive and pasted it into a new profile which we had
emptied out.

SM fails when she tries to start using the new profile, saying it can't
find the bookmarks.html file from her *default* profile (the one we
supposedly aren't using). Note: On her old computer her SM home page was
Bookmarks.html, which somehow doesn't show up in the copied profile.

Questions: What did we do wrong? Why can't she use the saved/copied
profile?

PHPlist/FCKeditor problem with SM 2.14

2012-11-21 Thread Pete
Does anyone here have access to a PHPlist installation and can confirm a
problem that I'm having?

I just upgraded to SM 2.14 and message entry in PHPlist no longer works
properly - the toolbar that's supposed to be above the HTML message is
now missing. I believe that PHPlist uses the FCKeditor.

Are there any new Javascript settings with SM 2.14 that I can play with
to see if I can make it work again? I have to send out a newsletter
tomorrow, and I'll either have to revert to SM 2.13 or use IE.

Replace existing Tabs Not Working Anymore?

Under known issues for 2.14, it says the following

'The option When opening a bookmark group / Replace existing tabs

WTF does that mean? It will never work or it will work when somebody

Web pages that have click to load more...

2012-11-21 Thread Ant
... I noticed more and more web sites are using very long web pages that
load more as you scroll down/click for more contents like on
http://hallmark.com, http://icanhas.cheezburger.com,
http://boingboing.net, etc.

Is there a way (e.g., extensions?) to disable this annoying web site
feature and make it load as new web pages like old fashion links? Long
web pages, with a lot of contents, really hog precious memory, CPU, etc.

Thank you in advance. :)
