... I noticed more and more web sites are using very long web pages that load more as you scroll down/click for more contents like on http://hallmark.com, http://icanhas.cheezburger.com, http://boingboing.net, etc.

Is there a way (e.g., extensions?) to disable this annoying web site feature and make it load as new web pages like old fashion links? Long web pages, with a lot of contents, really hog precious memory, CPU, etc.
