A slightly different situation is easy. I want certain cookies to
persist. All others should be "session only".

I located the folder containing my profile. There I found the file
cookies.sqlite, selected it, right-clicked, and selected Properties. I
checked the checkbox for "Read-Only". Servers setting cookies respond
as it they are setting persistant cookies. When I terminate SeaMonkey,
however, those cookies are lost.

Of course, I have to keep track of the cookies that remain in the
read-only file to make sure their expiration dates have not lapsed.
When that happens, I do a fresh launch of SeaMonkey, uncheck the
checkbox for "Read-Only" on the cookies.sqlite file, and then visit only
the site for which I want to keep cookies. I must then terminate
SeaMonkey to get the cookies moved from memory to the cookies.sqlite
file, which I then check the checkbox to make the file "Read-Only" again.

Save it in the Password Manager. Then SM will automatically enter it

Totally exit SM.
Move the content of the unwanted disk directory into its parent.
Delete the unwanted directory.
Restart SM.

I don't know why undo would be unavailable. I don't often move "folders" in
email
purposely, and it's been a while, probably in 2.49.4, since it happened
accidentally. Maybe there was some content from it open in a browser tab or
otherwise open at the filesystem level, maybe places.sqlite.

Re: Don't upgrade to macOS 10.15 when it is released

2019-09-28 Thread Ant
It's always a good idea NOT to upgrade to the newest major versions
right away like iOS v13 and other softwares. Things can break like this.
Always wait until they work out the bugs.

If you really must upgrade and can't wait, then be warned of possible
issues and make back ups before doing it in case something goes wrong
(they do happen)! Even upgrading to stable old versions can run into
issues too. Again, make back ups and be ready to run into possible
problems. I know this ever since I started computing and using other
upgradedable electronics since the 80s. :)

I wonder if old SeaMonkey v2.49.5 will get another minor update
