Marion, that's peaked my interest Have you used SeaMonkey 2.53.3 previously to do your banking and it worked, except in the past couple of days it's stopped working?? If that is the case, have you tried phoning your bank to see if they've changed something their end?? E-mail them, maybe!! -- Daniel Win7 User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.5 Build identifier: 20190609032134 Linux User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.1 Build identifier: 20171015235623 Daniel...I will try that. My experience has been that it's difficult to find the right person to resolve things by phone. Will try email. Also... can I edit my UA in about:config? This is all new to me. You guys are making a techie out of me! Would maybe changing my usbank.com string? My google string is ;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Marion Yes, setting up a usbank.com string should work but I thought I'd read here somewhere that you had tried that and it had failed!! Set up a usbank.com override UA or adjust your 'normal' UA so that everyone thinks you are using FF 78.0 or whatever. -- Daniel Win7 User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.5 Build identifier: 20190609032134 Linux User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.1 Build identifier: 20171015235623 Haven't heard back from UB yet but just noticed this. Clicked on SM help and about has this: User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.3 Can that be my problem? I don't find that UA when I go the my about:config I agree with NFN Smith. Try removing SeaMonkey/2.53.3 from the UA string. If sites see anything other than what they want to see then they reject all of it. Thanks again, I removed SM/2.53.3 . I finally just put in the first ua that David suggested. I talked with a rep at USB awhile ago and he thinks they have probably stopped supporting the browser because he couldn't ever get a coBrowse with me. He said he was sending in a ticket and I should hear something in 2 or 3 days. Just received this from USB: 1800USBANKS 10:51 AM (4 hours ago) to MARIONWALTHER74, megan.esler Hello Marion, I certainly want to make sure that you have online access. I'm sorry to hear that the SeaMonkey browser is no longer supported. Thank you very much for writing in. The online banking site supports the following browsers: Windows 7 or higher •Google Chrome 57 or higher •Internet Explorer 11 or higher •Firefox 52 or higher •EDGE 12 or higher macOS 10 or higher •Safari 10 or higher •Google Chrome 57 or higher In the email they continue to apologize but nothing is going to change the fact that Sea Monkey is no longer supported here. I am also having other sites warning that the browser is going to be discontinued. Thanks to all of you for your amazing offers to help.. and God bless! Marion 2.53.3 has a new option if you don't waqnt to fiddle with site specific overrides: Edit->Preferencews->Advanced->HTTP Networking. Set User Agent string to "Identify as Firefox". If The site still not work afterwards they lied to you and longer support older Firefox versions. Marion Go back to my first reply in this thread. In step #3, instead of general.useragent.override.usbank.com try general.useragent.override In step #4, instead of Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0 try Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 This will make ALL Web sites think you are using Firefox/52.0. If you want other sites to recognize that you are using SeaMonkey, 1. After you are through banking again go to about:config 2. In the Search area enter general.useragent.override 3. Select general.useragent.override under Preference Name, right-click, and select Resert from the pull-down context menu. That should work except rather than the "Firefox/52.0" I would have left it at the "Firefox/75.0" as that is the more up-to-date UserAgent string ... so, logically, that should be valid longer!! -- Daniel Win7 User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.5 Build identifier: 20190609032134 Linux User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.1 Build identifier: 20171015235623 ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
