David...I followed your instructions. I now have ua overrides for only yahoo 
and google.
One for Compat Mode FF boolean false
Compat Strict Mode FF boolean true
general useragent site-specific-overrides default boolean true
USB still not responding. Maybe I messed something up along the way. Don't know 
how to delete an entry if I made a typo.
