Re: tabs in SeaMonkey 2.2 browser poorly designed

Re: SM2.0 RC1 Automatic Updates?
On 2009-10-13 21:50, Gerry Hickman wrote: From your answers, I'm guessing fully automatic update is impossible with SM, so maybe I'd pressed a key which dismissed a confirmation dialog. I didn't test any of this, but have a look into about:config in app.update. There are two interesting prefs: app.update.mode and app.update.silent. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Software_Update:Checking_For_Updates#Preference_Controls_and_State for a description of them. Maybe at least one of them is set non-default on your installation. The new improved http://www.mozilla.org/ web page pushes out the SeaMonkey project when viewed from a 1024x768 monitor. Basically the cute little section showing Our Projects only shows Firefox and Thunderbird you need to click the '1 of 3' right arrow to get to SeaMonkey. This doesn't occur if you are viewing with a 1280x1024 screen; that shows Firefox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey '1 of 2' right arrow. Uh, there are arrows? Right, after switching of JS there are. Without JS you can see a few pixels of the other projects if you're attentive. Using JS for core functionality as opposed to fancy additional stuff is something that really bugs me. Perhaps some of the SeaMonkey folks in power positions can put a little pressure on webmas...@mozilla.org to resize the Our Projects box to ensure that SeaMonkey is present on *all* screensizes? How? Move the Community Ticker? I'm all for showing off SeaMonkey more, but next the Bugzilla people also want to get on the screen always and then ... Re: Recently Closed Tabs in SeaMonkey? Where?
On 2009-07-23 18:31, Tobias Fischer wrote: being a long time SeaMonkey user I just noticed Recently Closed Windows in Firefox. Looking for a bug bringing this feature into SeaMonkey I found bug 477822. From what's written there, it looks SM 2 already has such a feature - but I just can't find it. Just look into File Recent closed Tabs ;-) Hmpf, must have overlooked it. Not to mention that this is the last place I would have expected it. Normally I'm no fan of Firefox way of doing things, but here I'd like to have the History instead the Go menu and add Recent closed Tabs there. Anyway, thanks for the pointer.
