Not a SeaMonkey problem, rather a Gmail problem. Lots of complaints
on the web about Gmail defaulting to reply to sender. Here's one
example:

Best workaround here is Reply to All but then manually delete the

Sorry.

Okay, for some reason when I checked before with a list message I did
not see Reply to List under Reply in my SeaMonkey. It is also in the
Context Menu. 

Apologies for the noise. I was sure it was a list message. 

In SeaMonkey Mail, the feature is called:  Reply All.

Not in mine. Contradicting what I posted before that it didn't exist.

When I select an email from a mailing list in my Inbox, such as
tb-planning or firefox-dev, Reply to List is under the Reply button in
the Mail Toolbar.

If you use Google for this, try dropping it and accessing the Newsgroup
directly.

My settings for the News Server (NNTP) account are:
Account Name: mozilla news
Your Name: is currently IRRITATING SPAMMER, it is not validated in any way.
Email Address: is not validated in any way
.
.
Outgoing Server (SMTP): is ignored.

Server Settings
*
Server Name: News.mozilla.org Port 119
no security

Composition & Addressing
*

I (and most people) check: "Automatically quote the original message
when replying"

Then, "start my reply below the quote"

FRG is obviously not using that last setting.

Once you have the server set up, you can go to "Manage newsgroup
subscriptions" and add this one and any others which meet your approval.

What if you are not using Gmail and get emails from a mailing list to
your email account?

So Reply to All Recipients in SeaMonkey, equates to Reply to List in
Thunderbird, which has an icon in Customize the user can place in the
Mail Toolbar?

Reply to List is also a Context Menu item in TB for list emails.

It's easy enough, though I would not characterize it as "default":

I don't see "Reply to List" under the Reply or Reply All buttons in the
toolbar, so I think the only choice is to use Reply All > Reply to All R

Recipients.

I also don't see it in the Context Menu when you right click on a
selected message in the Thread Pane.
