They have two mechanisms for snapshots and so on... I submitted requests
for access to these about a year ago and occasionally get an update.

Have you tried downloading the compressed version? It should download
faster...

If you can fetch that file, which you should be able to as it is small
and therefore hopefully won't be subject to sourceforge's excessive
throttling, unzip
