Sometimes Frost has taken a while to start up for me too, but I don't know
why.
This mainly happens if I haven't used it for a few months.
One thing to check is if there is a dialog box warning you about old
versions of keys (I wondered why Frost wasn't starting, and this was buried
behind loads

I had exactly the same problem with vista. I switched to linux/ubuntu and have
been able to install freenet now. As with many other programmes vista doesn't
seem to be compatible.

I finally managed to get freenet running on linux/ubuntu 8.04 LTS!
However, could anybody explain in simple words which steps to take to start up
Frost in ubuntu? So far I didn't succeed.
(I recently switched from vista,which didn't seem compatible with freenet, to
linux.
