Re: [sustainable_tompkins-l] Reed coming to W. NY for Saturday May 6th Town Halls

2017-05-05 Thread Regi Teasley
Hi Folks,
Please note, if you go to Reed's website, it appears there are no phone
numbers listed.
They have use virtually the same color for numbers as for background.
Expand the text and look closely. Apparently there is no trick he won't play
on us.

for wine caps (stropharia). Each participant will take home a pre-cut
log (9-12"
diameter, 27-32" long) and sawdust spawn to make their own oyster mushroom
totem. We'll also provide handouts on both methods.

The workshop will be taught by SUNY ESF student Kayo Green, who has studied
fungus-soil relations and former Extension Educator Jessica Maxwell, who
has been cultivating log and wood chip grown mushrooms for almost 10 years.

Three strains of oyster mushroom spawn will be available; choose your

[sustainable_tompkins-l] Color You Beautiful

2017-05-05 Thread Wendy Skinner
GET YOUR COLORS “DONE” AT FASHION NIGHT

May 5, from 5 to 8 pm, is Fashion Night in downtown Ithaca. Held in conjunction
with Gallery Night, stores and art galleries are open for a variety of events.
As one stop on this lovely evening, SewGreen invites you to "get your colors
done." We'll help you see which colors are most becoming to you -- and which
are not, a la the classic book Color Me Beautiful.

Each participant receives a 20% off coupon for an item from our selection of
very gently-worn Eileen Fisher fashions -- fresh, new-looking designer apparel
priced so low, you won't know whether to keep it a secret or tell all your
friends. A new shipment this week has nearly doubled the stock of spring and
summer dresses, skirts, jackets, sweaters, and tops.

This is a very earth-friendly and generous way to shop. Reuse significantly
reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and all proceeds from Eileen Fisher
sales at SewGreen go to benefit leadership programs for girls and young women.
Thanks!
