Question for the list:
What use is being, or could be, made of the biomass residuce from the
pressing of soybean and other seed oil seed?
And, where might I find some of the analysis data on this biomass?
Cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin content data would be most helpful too.
Many thanks,
Hi Len:
Do you mean the presscake?
Feed it, burn it, fertilize with it... eat it!
Valuable enough stuff.
Analysis depends on if from cold pressing or from solvent extraction. If you
cold press, the oil is better, and so is the presscake (having in it still

Christopher,
How about adding a compress air nozzel during or after the headers exhaust.
You can add an air compressor and pulley on the engine to give you the
compressed air you need. More air in the exhause should mean better
conversion of CO to CO2 and lowering of outlet temp.
Hope this

Dear Todd,
Bio fuels are the only thing that at least resembles a silver bullet
for the transportation industry. As pointed out by an other contributor,
Europe is advancing this. Bio diesel seems to be the more effective
choice and the use of diesel engines is larger in Europe than US.
