Hello again, Dr. Jon Van Gerpen taught a course segment on the oxidation issue. He has charts that show a doubling of storage life of vegetable oil with an antioxidant. Most of these studies have been done on vegetable oil or lard to date, but should translate in some degree to biodiesel.

The citric acid needed is about 0.005%, or about 50 ppm. This is effective in combination with propyl gallate, another unknown chemical in my book. But I don't know how effective it is by itself, and I suspect it would take 4 to 10 times as much to achieve the same as the combination. This

You have misinterpreted my chart. The $2.15 is for B100, the price for diesel fuel is $1.12 in Atlanta. Its hard to keep columns in an email document, but you need to straighten out the columns, of which there are four values given for each location: B100, B20, B02 and diesel fuel. Tom
