this case anhydrous IPA would make sense. Thoughts?
Actually, I think anhydrous IPA would be less important.

Guys;
The titration solution is water anyways so what difference is 10% water
gonna make in the IPA? The water is always a problem cuz it makes the
oil want to drop out and unless you've got good agitation I wonder how
accurate the titration really is. I've been wondering what about using

It seems that hydroponics stores carry very pure isopropyl alcohol as well.

I seem to be having trouble sourcing
Isopropyl Alcohol for titration, I've tried pharmacist in my area (kent UK) but none seem to have
it. Can anything else be used or does anyone know a likely supplier.

I have been able to find what is called isopropyl alcohol 70% which
does not contain anything BUT isopropyl and some water.(another
brand had camfor in it and I already figured that that would not do,
genius huh?) Will this (70%) work for titration or do I need to find
some isopropyl that is 1

everclear when I used to buy the stuff was 95% ( an azeotrope). To
get production of greater than 95% requires a process which I have never
seen employed for alcohol made for consumption.

That was me. I BLEW it last Thursday when I (nor my
chemist partner!!)
didn't notice the scale was set on ounces instead of grams. Made some
spiffy soap allrighty though. Am going to run the titration test again
either Thursday or Friday on 70%, 91%, and 100% stuff on SVO and WVO.

Hi,
A little while back there was talk about 70% Isopropyl Alcohol verses 95%. I
didn't see the answer as to if the 70% would work or not. I haven't been
able to find anything more than the 70% in Rubbing alcohol. I want to do a
Titration and need to know if it will work or not.
Thanks aga
