I have all the ingredients I need except for lye, and a small scale to measure the lye with. I will try to get lye tomorrow at a hardware store. And I should have a finger scale arriving by mail in a day or so. I am going to cook up a half a liter just to see if i get the process right, and because I dont have a diesel car yet. I just got from the fryer to the fuel tank, and it is very useful, I will be working on tracking down some 55 gallon barrels, a few electric mixers. but I still have one question. The methanol/lye mixture has to be added to the veg oil right away, what if I dont have the capacity to mix it all at once (for a 50 gallon batch in the future) what should i do about that, I dont think I can afford a 2 tank mixer right away, but maybe Ill be able to use an electric mixer in some sort of a ten gallon tank or something, wait, thats a two tank mixer. Ill stop since Im starting to ramble.
