Hello Todd. If you do not have frost for extended period of time during the winter and rain water is abailable, my opinion is to consider the sugar cane by its productivity. If the region is covered by snow during the winter, the sugar cane will dye and you would not have the yearly harvest of this crop. Argentina, with a temperate climate is growing sugar cane in Tucuman Province at the north of the country. Regards.
