despite what 'we all know', viz the growing of crops in a way that
doesn't destroy the earth, but rather sustains, even improves the
fertility of the soil, and all that.

still completely unclear on the EROEI of

I'm also completely unclear on matters EROEI. There's some DoE data
somewhere in the archives that says petroleum has a negative EROEI.
So, 10 to 1 when Big Ag does it, but not when you do it yourself and
small is beautifuel?
I wonder if it might have something to do with what Dawie
