there are ways to do what you want (eg. using the *expensive* FME convertor suite), although I personally have no experience with them. But the question might be first: why not go from shape to mySQL directly? There's free tools for that, eg. my hack on http://kartoweb.itc.nl/RIMapper/, that is

I want/expect http://svgopen.steltenpower.com/darts.php?board=stats&xshift=10&yshift=20 to show a circle with a blur of greyvalues, but not a bit of 'wallcolor' inside (plus some numbers) and outside that circle i want pure solid 'wallcolor'. Somehow you see 'wallcolor' entering the circle at th
