Re: [SWCollect] So obviously Mt. Drash is no longer rare....
Well it was fun while it lastedguess I should have sold mine when it was rare. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemcategory=4315item=8105218187rd=1 Let's say there are definitely rarer things out there... ;) And while we are at it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemcategory=62053item=8105492467rd=1 8) -- Holger Bachert / Tel mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bachert.cx ICQ#:369991 -- This message was sent to you because you are currently subscribed to the swcollect mailing list. Re: [SWCollect] So obviously Mt. Drash is no longer rare....
No Joe, Drash is not on my list, never been :)... As for registration cards it is my understanding that they are just consecutively numbered and not game specific...? AFAIK this particular card can be found in all other Sierra releases of that period as well. -- Holger Bachert / Tel mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bachert.cx ICQ#:369991 -- This message was sent to you because you are currently subscribed to the swcollect mailing list. Even if so I'm sure they would pop up if the price was right, it's just because of the prices (note each auction uses info from a previous auction) that Drash is showing up now. And it will dry up, not sure how many before it does (but not a LOT). I don't know how many Drashs have been sold... but I'd bet it was a typical bargain bin item for quite some time. And you know that 'rarity' is a quite ambiguous term, especially in our genre here - it's largely defined through supply and demand. It's not a mass hobby, thus the actual amount of available copies is not as important. And yes, meanwhile it's been offered much more often than some other game, and IMO that's all what counts. ;) -- Holger Bachert / Tel mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bachert.cx ICQ#:369991 -- This message was sent to you because you are currently subscribed to the swcollect mailing list. Re: [SWCollect] Ultima cloth maps
It's the cartridge version with red cover and anime cartoon art seen on the link in the middle: http://koti.mbnet.fi/psychic/_eng_games_ultima.html The cloth map looks just like the ones I've seen on the net, f.ex. here: http://vgmuseum.chaoticmonkey.com/origin/u3-map.jpg Well, that map doesn't belong there, it's from one of the standard Origin editions. The MSX Cartridge version is a conversion of the NES/FC Ultima: Exodus and has no extras beside the manual while the MSX Disk version is a remake of the computer version. That one has indeed a cloth map, but it should look like this: http://www.surfing.net/ultima/temp/u3_generic_4_map.jpg This is also why I'd like to find the link for the cloth map collection because I believe many variations were seen there. I suppose you mean this one? http://www.idsa.net/ultima/ -- Holger Bachert / Tel mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bachert.cx ICQ#:369991 -- This message was sent to you because you are currently subscribed to the swcollect mailing list. Re: [SWCollect] Ultima cloth maps
BTW info on japanese Ultima-releases here? I have Ultima III MSX-2 version ( http://koti.mbnet.fi/psychic/_eng_games_ultima.html ) and it came with a cloth map (was missing manual). But according to Ultima Collectors Guide it didn't come with one. So is that cloth map possibly from a different release? (I know the guide isn't updated anymore but might still be accurate on this.) I don't have a regular Ultima III version so can't compare in nature if they're different but the scans I've seen look pretty much the same as this. Which MSX version? The console version didn't have any maps but the Pony Canyon FD version had (just like all others in this series). What does your map look like? The Pony Canyon one is very different from other U3 maps... -- Holger Bachert / Tel mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bachert.cx ICQ#:369991 -- This message was sent to you because you are currently subscribed to the swcollect mailing list.
