 Cisco AGS+ router wanted

For its forthcoming permanent exhibition As Time Goes Byte about
computer history and digital culture (opening 12.5.2007) the Museum für
Kommunikation in Bern is looking for a Cisco AGS+ router.

Cisco has promised us one, but only as a loan and we are not sure whether
we will get it in time.
We would prefer to have the router in our collection in order to be able
to preserve the artefacts of early network technology for future
 generations.

If you still have a Cisco AGS+ (or maybe a CGS or MGS router) from 1990ff
which you don't need anymore, the Museum für Kommunikation would be
 interested in getting/buying it.

Heya guys,

Small system-mtu problem on a recently replaced switch...
Routing is now corrected to avoid the small mtu path, switch will be
rebooted asap.

Hi swinogers,

Anyone knows about some MTU issues in the Cablecom network (especially
Morges area) ?

Packets bigger than 1492 bytes (sometimes even less) are dropped
depending on the source IP and destination IP.

It looks as if some interfaces in a multipath route (using IP adresses
hash) uses a MTU smaller than 1500 bytes.

That was experienced from AS6893 and AS559.

Thanks

I've tested some connections I have access to with a pretty interesting
result:

- Two BB accesses within AS8404, one got access to [1], the other one
not!
- One ADSL behind AS21494 works fine.
- Upstream traffic over AS13030 works fine.

To me it seems like a large IP block on Akamai spread over several AS,
rather than an routing issue.

Here some traces:

Hi Swinog

I've noticed that quite a few Firewalls don't support VPN to a DNS name
as peer, so you'll have to enter the remote IP , and better having a
fixed IP on the remote site :)

Does anyone know whether it's possible to enter a dyndns record as
remote side on a Juniper Firewall?

Hmm VoIP is very network sensitive and it would be useless in case of
network troubles.
I thinking about joining this Swinog IRC network, currently I'm on
EFNET via irc.efnet.ch
What are the right channels to join ? Regarding the stats of
http://irc.subcult.ch looks to be more German channels than English
ones.

I'm looking for a new IP-Management tool. Currently we are using IPPlan,
 which does mainly
what we like, but is not very easy to use.

 What we like to do:

 - IPv4 Subnet Allocation to Customers
 - IPv6 Subnet Allocation to Customers
 - Single IP documentation within Subnets
 - See free Space
 - See usage ratio of Subnets and Blocks
 - Export for RIPE database would be nice

Does somebody of you use something like this or can recommend a tool.
