Hi Tim,
Thanks for contacting me.
Please understand that in terms of skills and acquired knowledge, I'm not
an iOS app developer, nor do I have a Mac platform. cf. I imagine it would
be much harder to develop and test iOS apps from a Windows PC.
It's great that you've got involved. We know why

Who knows what further spanners that may throw into the works of
PocketSword?
Best regards,

Hi.
Yeah, it’s a challenge.
I have developed a few iOS and Android apps for the company I work for.
A high amount of maintenance work is required to keep the apps up-to-date.
I had worked on the code and integrated ARC and 64bit. It did build and almost
all seemed OK.
AFAIR the problem was that

Hi,
Congratulations on your second child :)
Thank you also for writing about the submittal and backwards compatibility of
PocketSword. So much in iOS alone keeps changing…ARC, 64bit, and etc., I wonder
how people keep up? but yes, at least it requires to constantly keep the apps
up-to-date.
Hi,
Thanks for the advice. To follow it, I’ve gone to the tracker page for
PocketSword and added another comment with a link to the repo with the version
that I had patched.

Thank you for your and everyone else’s replies. I was not expecting it. It was
encouraging. :)
I’m not a professional at computer programming, so there are some things that I
don’t know about, but I’m trying to learn. I’m not a stranger though to
computers by any means.
Thank you also for

I know nothing about iPhone and programming for it, but let me
just leave here a general piece of advice ... in this time and
age it is
And here's my reply:

Hi,
I’m trying to reach David Haslam. I’m interested in helping out

I suspect that with Tim being a new mailing list user, his response awaits

My direct reply to his email also went into the moderation queue.
I think this is because when I registered for sword-devel,
Hi.
Yeah, I got my second child last year in August. And he kind of makes us all
busy (and happy of course). :)
The app has to be build against the latest SDK version. Anything else Apple
won’t approve.
However, it’s still possible to make the app run on iOS 7 for example. The only
limit is
Are we at risk of losing PocketSword because of the lack of development
activity?
cf. The call for programmer volunteers seems to have gone unheeded.
