After logging-in from the Tails Greeter, I also get a blank screen for
up to at least several seconds, before the desktop fully appea

like an advertisement. You would have done much better to have /begun/

As the copied output below shows, Tails 2.5 is signed with an RSA key
that is different from the one that was used for /at least/ the previous
three versions of Tails. What accounts for this change?

At roughly 05 hours UTC, I checked distrowatch.com and found the
download link to Tails 2.7[1] in the "Latest Distributions" feed [2] on
the left-hand side of the home page.
This is not the first time that I have found said feed to have the
latest Tails version many hours before it being announce

the same as the one that was there at the start of November 15th (UTC)?
The .sig file that I downloaded at that time from the above directory
would appear to
