Although the never check for updates box is checked in the Options,
Advanced section, Thunderbird still updated from version 31.7 to 38.0.1
all by itself.
In version 31.7 the mouse keys would talk but 38.0.1 only says blank to

search for the labs accessibility page.
Another programmer and myself ran some tests and it looks like they have
finally taken that feature down pretty much completely other than the home
page - the search just wont work even

it with Internet Explorer and, or, Firefox.
If it works most likely it is something like a WindowEyes script which was
not working properly or didn't load properly.
