Thanks very much Loy, this info is greatly appreciated. I did read
through the readme file, but guess I forgot to pay particular attention
to that part of it at the time.

Yes, there is a registry setting to do this right now. There were instructions
on this list earlier today on how to set this manually.

Hi Kim,
You may get better results if you try some different recording levels for
your default recording device, which is used by Cortana to hear you.

Hi. All I get when I attempt to use this script is, first "this script
needs to download extra files," or some such prompt, I say "yes," and I
get the error "failed validation," and the script aborts. This
is after uninstalling and re-installing the script from the app-get 1.24
script.
Well Kelley, I might have to take a look at the options to make that
change, that is if I can keep Edge from beeping at me. However, maybe
some how the change was made, because as I said before, it appears
anyway that my Cortana search takes me to IE, at least that's the way

Is the problem with the voice recognition in this app? I have a friend who
has a low-end Android cell phone. He's the guy I go to for computer
problems. It's going to be a while before I go to Windows 10, but he says
the voice recognition in his little hunk-o'-junk phone is better than then

There is actually a setting deep in Edge's options that controls what
happens when you search with Cortana in the Anniversary Update. If you open
Edge, and find the More button and then choose settings, followed by View
Advanced Settings you can find this. At that point it is faster to

I just went to Cortana to ask her via keyboard what time it is in Rio,

I tried twice to run edge, from the taskbar and got a loud alarm sound

I've done it with just window-eyes. If it's going to update you only need

Hi Rick and all,
Just a minor correction to my post below, namely, when I upgraded my Windows
7 Ultimate machine to Windows 10, it became Windows 10 Pro, not Ultimate.
In fact, Windows 10 Enterprise is the version above Windows 10 Pro, but this
is a unique version for enterprise business
Thanks Rod:

I am old and I just want to push a button and have the products just work.
That is how I design my software and expect companies to do the same but
