I haven't assumed that there was any list owner for a long time since when I submit error reports I get no response. That tells me that no one is monitoring the list or watching anything that is sent that might need a response or a fix for a certain app that I'm using. Or… That anyone is using.

Bob, Have you tried alt-tabbing? That's what I do. While in the composition screen, just alt-tab once, let go of the keys entirely, then alt-tab once, again. You should find yourself back in the composition screen, and speech is back for the duration of your composing efforts. Louis Gosselin
