Hi Don,
I'm not sure whether you know which version of the GW Toolkit you're running,
but you should be running 8.6.8.
Here's a link to my Dropbox folder, where you can find a zip archive containing
the default WE apps, including the proper version of the GW Toolkit app:

Hi, I agree with Alusegun. Acouple of years ago, when we all learned of
the end of WE, I did lots of soul
searching as to what I would do. after considering various options, I
chose to move on and decided to go all Android. I believed then, as I
do now, that
Hi Don,
I have no idea what's happening. I've been running Windows 10 and have
the latest updates and have never seen this problem with the GW toolkit.
Lots of things depend on it. So I'd know it if I missed the notification.
One thing you might want to do is go through your installed apps and

That's why I live and breathe Android! I can install any TTS of my own

my iPad Mini. I'd pay for it.

Well as far as I know JAWS and dectalk do not play nice. It does work with
NVDA. There was a dectalk for sapi, but I can't find it anywhere either.

Hello,
Is there a list for learning or asking questions about NVDA? A friend has
recently started using NVDA but has tons of questions. I don't use it but I
said I would see if I could get information for him. If so, I would appreciate
hearing from anyone. Drop me an email. Thanks
Oh well, I wasn't that lucky. my last paid version was way too old when
that offer was given.
I'm now using a copy some one was kind enough to give me after WE
reached end of life, otherwise, I would be in a real pickle.
I used WE for Office for a year or so, due to lack of funds, but my
That's my take on it too.
I am also a Winamp user, and figure that neither JAWS or NVDA will ever
be able to work with it as well.
I am also a subscriber to Bookshare, and find that IE will work with
their DAISY formatted books quite adaquitly.

I did the same thing, but jaws never cooperated with me. I set it up like I
wanted it, and it dropped all my settings. When I went to reset them, it
wouldn't let me. I no longer have the computer I had installed it on. Pam.

Larry,
Because I owned WE, and had 2 SMAs, I was able to get Jaws for free.

I've already had to do it.
My Window Eyes will absolutely not work with Skype anymore, and it won't
work with Firefox either.
But I still use WE whenever I can, for instance I'm using it now to write
this. It works great with Windows Live Mail, and it works better with

If it comes to that, do as I do and go to n v d a, works quite well.
