But if the site says to click on something, that means that sometimes you
can't press enter and go to it. So what do you do then?

When I receive an e-mail with a URL but no link, I just press f8, then
right arrow through the URL.

You should be able to copy the link and paste in the address bar. I
occasionally get a message where the link is spelled out but not show as a link.
