Hello Neville,
Please also take care about what Microsoft brings in at update time.
You may well find that it will slip in the upgrade to Windows 10 as an
optional upgrade. This is pre-checked and will need to be unchecked on each
occasion if you want to prevent it.
You could probably stop this,
Thanks for your reply John.
Yes, I have noticed this and take particular care which updates are
checked for download and installation. The monthly updates are a bit of
a battle between the user and Microsoft it seems.
Cheers
Neville.

Hi
I'm a bit confused, as my room mate just got a windows 10 laptop, and
I've not noticed any updates several times a day which interrupts her
use of the laptop. It does update itself overnight which makes sense
because she's not using it then. I do remember one time that it updated

Chris,
I agree with you. I haven't had that many Windows 10 updates and they
have never stopped me from doing anything. When you go to shutdown, you
might get a notification asking if you want to update and shutdown or
just shutdown. I always pick the update and shutdown option, and my

Chris and Bob,
I think we are at cross purposes here.
Neville and I were talking about preventing a Windows 7 PC from being
updated to Windows 10 and not updates to Windows 10 software.

the constant update messages deals with those of us who are still using
windows 7. Microsoft keeps nagging people to get windows 10. Hope that
helps clear up the confusion.

Are you using an HP laptop with Bang & Olufsen/Realtek software and
hardware? In order for the speakers to work properly, you need the driver and
software developed in collaboration between HP, Realtek, and Bang & Olufsen.
In this case, it's not really bloatware.

Being that I don't read print, and novels, newspapers, manuals, catalogs,
etc. in Braille would be a little bulky to carry around, and I don't trust the
durability of Braille displays, speech is most convenient for me. Bad spelling
habbits are to be expected I guess. Sorry.

Long story short, I may have managed to find an older desktop that I can borrow
until I can get myself a new computer. When I get the computer, I can get it up
to 8.4, but need to get up to 9.4 and have done my updates through the
automatic system, which doesn’t leave me any copies of the update
Hi Chris:
As far as I know, the only way to do this, if you do not want to by a
cd from AIsquare with the latest update, is have kept all your upgrade
files from the last major upgrade.
Not verry helpful, perhaps, but that's the best you can do as far as I know.

Here's the two steps to take.
Becky works very well but you need to change two settings. In the Tools,
General setup dialog on the Message View tab, uncheck the "Control four-way
button with arrow keys" check box and the cursor will work when you are reading
messages. In the Editor tab in the

I think it will do only mp3, but you could use a program like switch to
convert to mp3.
Mp3direct and switch are here.
To get the file you want, go to the link below
and hit enter on that file.
