Hi Rick,

If you type update in the search edit box in the Start menu, Check for
Updates will appear.
If you press Enter on this, you'll be taken to the Windows Update dialog.
If you tab to the Check for updates button and Press it, you'll activate the
manual download of available updates.
Once downloads are available, tabbing to the Install button will actually
install them, and you'll be asked to restart your system when installed.
Now, if you don't manually install updates, this will normally be done
automatically if you leave your system on overnight.
I manually installed updates on my Windows 10 Pro virtual machine twice over
the last week, the last time being today.
Now, even though the Windows Update dialog continues to report that my
Windows is up to date, the current build of my Windows version is still
1511.
I'm starting to be convinced that the anniversary update is either only for
Windows 10 Home, or it will be rolled out to Pro later.
Perhaps Home users are the guinea pigs while the advanced Pro users remain
happy go lucky with their stable 1511 build. Grin

I don't think I have ever gotten any updates or upgrades for office 365 and
now have not gotten the upgrade for windows 10 anniversery edition.
I have received the automatic updates like for windows defender loaded
automatically.
 I am wondering if I have not registered my software correctly or something
and don't know what I don't know so cant even check things out.
Also, WE does not work correctly  when searching for features in the start
box.
I hit enter to open it, type something then have to hit the down arrow key,
tab out and back in to read every entry, not very good and not sure if this
is normal WindowEyes behavior.
There are other things I am noticing but these 2 are a good starting point
to start trying to figure things out, learn what I need to and or request
fixes as I move through trying to figure out what is going on.
I run a Dell Desktop Optiplex, windows 10 pro and the latest WE.
My Outlook in the start list and on the desktop reads as Outlook2013 but in
the properties window the executable is Outlook15 so I don't have a clue as
to what version of Outlook is on my machine and cant find it anyplace in the
Outlook ribbon thingy.
Perhaps I did not register it or something else is going on, don't have a
clue yet but hope someone might be better with navigating around Office 365.

Olusegun - far from being stupid, you are simply expressing an opinion.



I happen to disagree with your opinion.  Mergers, takeovers, whatever they are, 
have happened.  Until there is a corporate wide restructure, people are still 
assigned to Window-Eyes.  Early on in a similar discussion, the details of how 
to provide feedback to VFO were provided.



I am less concerned about how things were, and more interested in  what is to 
happen.



Part of this concern is the absence of news about what will happen.  VFO is 
better placed now to take on Humanware across a range of technologies, so my 
guess is fewer products, hopefully better products.

company that comes closest to GW Micro in terms of true support with a good 
listening ear is HIMS, Inc.  If a petition means anything to our community, 
and, if it will truly get the job done, time to raise one to

prevent Window-Eyes from being squashed amongst these volcanic rocks!



So there goes my pent up anger; now I am going to duck before the M16 comes 
hunting for me!

Hi Mr. Norton:

You know how iPhone and the iOS platform get pushed down the guts of blind
users as if nothing else out there is accessible?  That's what Android OS is
amongst the blind!  Android is deemed inaccessible and less useful from a
blindness perspective.

Well, I take joy in poaking fun at the so-called accessibility gurus who
keep thinking that Android should have the same scheme as iOS something that
won't ever happen!  It's like trying to get Apple's Macintosh to imitate
Microsoft's Windows.  That won't ever happen!  And so for the blind, Android
is a DEAD scroll!  In actuality, the number of TTS engine available for this
DEAD scroll are about equal to what you get with the Windows OS.

So, with Window-Eyes now "stolen" by the V F O Group under the guise of a
merger or whatever the grammatique is, I paucit that Window-Eyes may be what
Android is as a dead scroll on a smartphone to the Windows OS!  For this
reason, I am making sure I KEEP ALL THE COPIES of Window-Eyes that I have on
numerous flash drives just so I can still have it for work and general use.
This is the ONLY SCREEN reader that continues to keep me working and I can't
aford to lose it just yet.

Don't know about WE being the Android of Windows.

Like one other member, I started out with Window Bridge, checked out JFW for
a few minutes, but, when I tried Window-Eyes, it gave me all I needed, and,
didn't insist on me using a copy-protection/mandatory on-line activation
process.

I tinker with my setup so much that, using a system like JFW uses would
severely limit what I have been able to do over the years.  My tinkering has
even resulted in me being able to help some sighted people with their
computers, since I was able to try different configurations, without loosing
any activations.  Window-Eyes was there for me.

What else can I say?

There is a setting on the mail site where you can choose whether or not 
to receive copies of your sent message.  I believe it should be one of 
the links at the bottom of the email.  You may need your password to

How to stop window eyes from saying. Actions, Undo auto actions, 

It is happening in word and also in notepad, in window eyes 9.5 

I have taken the smart tags off, so it is not that. 

It is doing it now in this email. 

It is after you type in a line, then when you up arrow to text already
there, and it does it on every line, and is a  pain in the you know what.

w/e going back to the top of the page

win 7 64 bit latest w/e ie 11 over at groups.io in the blind tech and 
tech talk archives.  when you opened a message and read it w/e would 
take you back to where you left off in the list when using alt left 
arrow, now it takes you to the top of the page. NVDA returns you to 
where you left off in the list, wonder why.
