RE: microsoft edge support:
Absolutely. Although, I will say that, having a built in screen reader, like Apple does, would have made getting jobs easier and that would have ensured that employers wouldn't have to go spending out for a screen reader. The other advantage of MS having Narrator is that they can control and test for accessibility using Narrator. However, there is a downside to this. The downside is that if you want tech support with Narrator, you won't be able to get it. Also, Narrator in windows 10 doesn't have braille display support, scripting, etc, etc, etc, like JAWS, Window-Eyes, or NVDA does. I think their will still be a need for 3rd party screen readers to exist. You guys should also be aware that Microsoft has blind people working for them as well. One guy that works for them is named Kelly ford. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+skyt=shaw...@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Vaughan Dodd via Talk Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2016 12:32 PM To: 'Don H'; 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' Subject: RE: microsoft edge support: Agree with the below. wineyes speech loud during bootup
When I first bought this laptop I had to log in. Once I updated to win ten I set it to boot to the desktop. Ever since then, a synthesize voice comes up real loud at the point where it passes the login screen, then I hear a short jingle, then Decaccess 32 starts at a much lower voice. What can I do to either get rid of this login voice, or turn it down. Keep in mind I don't even know which synthesizer it is. First boot in the morning can be quite a jolt from this loud voice. Win ten anniversary edition and most current wineyes. ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: eudora 7.1.9
I've been using it since email first became available at my university back in the 70's I think it was. I still use it on my Windows 7 desktop and my Windows 10 tablet. It has taken some adjustments like forwrding email from my GMail account to another one that doesn't vheck certificates and getting used to the fact that the message headers aren't read correctly on my Windows 10 tablet. Still I can't think of anything about newer email clients that would make me want to switch. Dave At 08:36 AM 11/3/2016, you wrote: I didn't even think you could still find, let alone use Eudora.
